Procedures:

• The HEC SooFi Series uses sintered metal filter elements to retain soot particles in exhaust gas, achieving up to 99% retention.
• Soot collected in the filter elements is oxidized at regular intervals using a fuel burner, raising the internal temperature above 500 °C for regeneration.
• For continuous operation, an additional filter module allows for alternating regeneration without engine interference.

Norms and Recommendations:

• The system functions as a sound absorber, reducing sound pressure levels by approximately 25 dB/A.
• Requires current, air, and fuel supply for the regeneration burner, compatible with nearly all fuel grades.
• Ashes from engine oil combustion and soot regeneration must be removed at regular maintenance intervals.

Maintenance and Monitoring:

• Filter packages can be cleaned with compressed air or a high-pressure cleaner.
• An electronic control unit (ECU) monitors and controls all functions automatically, with error messages submitted to an existing bus system.
• Equipped with a data logger to store operating states and errors on a flash card.
