Product catalog summary
Introduction
WE91 is part of Gurit's structural composite product solutions, including Prepreg, SPRINT®, and SparPreg®. The WE91 prepreg range includes high tack (WE91-1) and medium tack (WE91-2) variants, suitable for structural composite component manufacture. It offers a flexible curing process from 85°C to 120°C and has a 60-day out-life at 21°C. Designed for vacuum bag processing, it provides excellent mechanical performance on glass and carbon fiber reinforcements.

Product Information
WE91-1 prepreg can be used with SPRINT® and SparPreg™ products and is certified by Germanischer Lloyd. It is supplied with a poly backer and can be applied to the substrate with either side against the tool.

Prepreg Properties
The resin viscosity profile is conducted at 1°C per minute. The minimum viscosity is 1.0 Pa.s at 98.5°C. Storage recommendations include keeping materials in a freezer to maximize usable life.

Health and Safety
Refer to the product MSDS for specific health and safety information.

Cure Time & Temperature
WE91-1 offers flexible curing options with a minimum cure of 720 minutes at 80°C. Typical laminate properties include a cure temperature range of 85°C to 120°C and a cure dwell time of 600 to 90 minutes.

Laminate Properties
Data is based on mechanical testing of a single batch. Cured resin properties include tensile strength of 76 MPa and flexural strength of 119 MPa. Cured laminate properties are detailed for different fabric/fiber descriptions, resin content, and cure methods.
