This element was specifically constructed and designed to withstand severe brake and clutch applications where large inertia loads and slippage that would normally result in a loss of torque and would significantly reduced operating life. The design and construction of the FKT element is different from the FK and FM, due to the fact that the torque is transmitted by torque bars, and not by the sidewalls of the air tube.
