Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides comprehensive instructions for the operation and maintenance of the ProMix Easy, a professional-grade, single-color, electronic paint proportioner. It covers safety instructions, installation guidelines, and operational procedures.
Important Safety Instructions: Users must read all warnings and instructions thoroughly. Grounding the system is essential to prevent fire and explosion hazards. Key warnings include avoiding ignition sources, using grounded equipment, and wearing personal protective equipment.
ProMix Easy Models: Various models are listed, detailing their maximum working pressures and approvals for different locations. Models are available in carbon steel and stainless steel.
Installation: The ProMix Easy can be mounted on a stand, cart, or wall. Installation requires ensuring the mounting surface can support the equipment's weight and stress. Non-intrinsically safe units need specific power connections and must be installed by a qualified electrician.
Usage and User Interface: Suitable for mixing most two-component paints, the ProMix Easy features a user interface with a function knob, start and stop buttons, a key switch for adjustments, a display for readings, and a data port for PC connection.
Warnings: The document highlights hazards such as fire, explosion, skin injection, moving parts, equipment misuse, and toxic fluids, providing detailed precautions to mitigate these risks.
Setup and Operation: Detailed procedures for setup, pressure relief, flushing, priming, and spraying are included, along with instructions for recalibrating pump-based and meter-based systems.
Technical Data and Performance Charts: Technical specifications, performance charts for different pump ratios, and a wall mounting diagram are provided. The document also outlines the Graco standard warranty and contact information for assistance.
Installation and Setup: Detailed instructions focus on air-assisted units, covering components like air regulators, pressure gauges, pumps, fluid supply lines, and shutoff valves. The process involves connecting the ground wire, fluid hoses, and air supply lines, ensuring all fittings are tightened, and filling pump packing nuts with throat seal liquid for pump-based models.
Air and Fluid Controls: The system includes air and fluid controls such as bleed-type main air shutoff valves, pump air pressure regulators, and gun air regulators. A minimum air pressure of 70 psi is required for proper operation.
Pressure Relief and Flushing Procedures: Safety-critical pressure relief procedures require trigger locks and grounded metal pails. Flushing procedures emphasize using solvent pumps and maintaining low pressure to avoid splashing.
Priming and Pump Testing: Priming involves connecting fluid supply hoses and setting air regulators to zero before gradually increasing pressure. Pump tests ensure correct system operation with specific volumes dispensed based on pump ratios.
Spraying and Batch Dispense: The spraying process involves adjusting air pressure for consistent material dispensing. Batch dispensing allows for ratio checks and ensures accurate mixing. The document warns against running the fluid supply tank empty to prevent uncatalyzed material spraying.
Pot Life Timer: The pot life timer starts during spray mode and counts down regardless of system mode. When it reaches zero, all dispense valves close, and an alarm sounds, indicating the end of the pot life.
Warranty Coverage: Graco provides a warranty for equipment deemed defective if installed, operated, and maintained according to Graco's recommendations. The warranty excludes general wear and tear, damage from faulty installation, misapplication, or use of non-Graco parts.
Exclusions and Limitations: The warranty does not cover defects from external factors like abrasion, corrosion, or improper maintenance. Graco is not liable for incompatibility with non-Graco products or improper design and installation of such products.
Warranty Claims Process: Claims require the prepaid return of defective equipment to an authorized distributor for verification. If a defect is confirmed, Graco will repair or replace parts at no charge. If no defect is found, repairs will incur reasonable charges.
Exclusive Warranty Terms: This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other express or implied warranties. Claims for breach of warranty must be made within two years of purchase.
Liability Disclaimer: Graco disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Items not manufactured by Graco are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, and Graco will assist in claims for these warranties.
Contact Information: For more information or to place an order, contact a Graco distributor or call the provided phone numbers.
