Introduction
GOODE Skis are known for their lightweight and high-performance design, utilizing 100% carbon fiber for a superior strength-to-weight ratio. These skis are hand-finished and have set numerous world records.

Technical Diagram
The skis feature a carbon/graphite design, offering advantages such as being lighter, stronger, thinner, more flexible, hydrodynamic, and temperature resistant compared to traditional fiberglass skis.

Model Specifications
The GOODE 9800 and 9800SL models are designed for performance with specific dimensions for length, width, and weight. The Pre-9800 models are tailored for tournament use.

Water Ski Terminology
Key terms include bevels, concave, dampening, fin, fin box, longitudinal flex, off-side turn, on-side turn, profile, rocker, torsional flex, tunnel, weight, and wing.

Bindings
The Performance Series Bindings offer excellent lateral support and can be custom-sized. The GOODE PowerShellTM Binding System features hard shell boots and allows for micro adjustments using the Inter-LocTM System for secure attachment.

Binding Installation
Bindings should be installed using specific screws and positioned correctly to avoid damage. Proper installation ensures optimal performance and safety.

Ski Binding Adjustment
Bindings allow for movement and should be adjusted based on skiing performance. Proper positioning is crucial for achieving the best results.

Fin Adjustment
Fin adjustments can be made horizontally, vertically, and diagonally to fine-tune ski performance. Precise adjustments are necessary for optimal skiing.

GOODE Ski Care Instructions
Proper care and maintenance are essential for the longevity and performance of the skis.

Warranty and Safety
The document includes warranty information, procedures, and a WaterSports Safety Code to ensure safe usage of the skis.

Fin Adjustment and Measurement
To ensure optimal ski performance, measure and record the fin position using GOODE Dial Calipers. This allows for precise readjustments if the fin is moved. Record measurements in a fin log for consistency and reference across different conditions.

Fin Measurement Procedures
1. Depth of Fin: Hold caliper as shown and record depth.
2. Length of Fin: Set caliper to zero, hold as shown, and record length.
3. Distance from Tail: Hold caliper as shown and record distance.

Problem Solutions
Adjust fin depth and position to address skiing issues such as difficulty initiating turns, instability, or excessive ski tip in water. Specific adjustments include vertical, horizontal, and diagonal fin movements.

Factory Fin Settings
Standard and option fin settings are provided for different GOODE ski models, including measurements for distance from tail, length, depth, and wing orientation.

Ski Care Instructions
1. Preparing: Clean the ski with mild soap to remove grease.
2. Transporting: Use a ski bag for protection; avoid air travel with the standard bag.
3. Storing: Store in a cool, dry place.
4. Repairing: Use epoxy for scratches; avoid altering surface angles.

Warranty Information
GOODE skis have a one-year limited warranty covering defects in workmanship or materials. The warranty excludes damage from misuse or normal wear and tear. An extended warranty is available at purchase. Warranty claims require a Return Authorization number.

Product Instructions & Warnings
Follow safety guidelines to reduce injury risk, including using the correct size ski and binding, inspecting equipment, and skiing at appropriate speeds. Water skiing instruction is recommended.

WaterSports Safety Code
Adhere to safety practices such as familiarizing with laws, using proper equipment, and maintaining control while skiing. Avoid skiing under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

These guidelines and instructions aim to enhance safety and performance in water skiing.

Introduction Dear GOODE Skier, Congratulations on your recent purchase of a GOODE Carbon Composite water ski! I hope you find our skis to be the finest in the world. The performance advantages of GOODE Skis are evident by looking at tournament results. Over the past 15 years, GOODE Skis have held both the men's and women's World Records longer than any other brand of ski. GOODE Skis are reigning World Champions and have won more U.S. National medals than all other ski brands combined! We've designed water skis that are lighter and faster than anything on the market. Each GOODE ski is hand-finished....

Technical Diagram The carbon/graphite design of GOODE water skis gives them six distinct advantages over anything on the market: Lighter - It weighs less than half of a conventional mass-produced fiberglass water ski. Less weight means faster acceleration from buoy to buoy. Stronger - Hands down, carbon fiber beats fiberglass, titanium, steel and aluminum in stiffness-todensity ratios. It provides the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any water ski. Thinner - Its thin profile allows it to perform deeper in the water, slowing better at the buoy, is quicker from edge-to-edge, and is affected...

Water Ski Terminology Bevels - the transition area between the ski's sidewall and the ski's base. Sharper, flatter bevels keep the ski riding smoother, rounder and higher in the water. Larger bevels allow the ski to ride deeper in the water. Concave - the edge-to-edge channel that runs down the ski base. Dampening - the reduction of ski vibration or "chatter". Fin - the underwater foil on the tail of the ski that aids in turning and tracking. Fin box - the device that secures the fin to the ski and allows the fin to be adjusted fore and aft, as well as up and down. Length - the measurement in...

Fin Adjustment The adjustable fin on GOODE skis is designed to "fine-tune" the ski's behavior, which varies between individual skiing styles, skier weight, boat speed, and site characteristics. There are three types of adjustments that can be made to the fin: horizontal, vertical and diagonal. Differences of a few thousandths of an inch are known to make the difference between a personal best pass and a fall, so please use dial calipers to calibrate and adjust your fin. You can purchase a high-quality dial caliper that is the perfect size for fin calibration factory-direct from GOODE. If you...

Using GOODE Dial Calipers When you receive your new GOODE Ski, we strongly recommend that you take your calipers, measure and record the fin placement. We ship all skis with a factory setting; yet each caliper may be calibrated differently. By doing this you will have a clear idea of the base setting for your fin. Follow these easy steps to measure the position of your fin. Every time you change fin settings, record the measurements into your fin log. The log is your record of fin adjustments, so that you can better account for changes in your skiing. You can also record measurements for different...

GOODE Ski Care Instructions STEP 1: Preparing Wash the bottom of the new ski with mild dish soap and a sponge and rinse well with clear water. It is normal for a black residue to come off during initial cleaning. Grease and oil on the ski will inhibit performance by reducing the ski's adherence to the water. Water beading up on the base of the ski indicates the presence of grease or oil. Reclean the bottom to restore surface. STEP 2:Transporting The ski should always be transported in a bag. To avoid making white water marks on your ski, DRY your ski when done skiing. The GOODE ski bag has been...
