Introduction
Glamox has developed the MAX ICE LED luminaire, designed for extreme low temperatures in arctic areas. It is Ex e certified for zone 1, ensuring high light output in temperatures ranging from -41 ºC to +45 ºC. This innovation meets the demands of ship owners operating in cold environments.

Specifications
The MAX ICE luminaire boasts a minimum lifetime of 50,000 hours, which can extend up to 100,000 hours in temperatures below 0 ºC. It is designed according to IECEx, ATEX, Ex e hazardous areas, and marine requirements, with a housing made from deep drawn acid-proof stainless steel.

Performance
LED technology ensures constant high light output regardless of ambient temperature, making it superior to fluorescent lighting in cold conditions. The luminaire provides excellent light output for emergency lighting in sub-zero temperatures, with optimal color rendering and no glare.

Applications
The MAX ICE is particularly suited for the Stena DrillMAX ICE, the world's first drillship for Arctic conditions, built by Samsung Heavy Industries. This ship operates safely and efficiently in temperatures as low as -30 ºC.
