ANTISLIDE marine floor Areas of use GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor is a resilient floor covering for all yachts. The thickness of only 2 mm offers a simple processing. The material can fit to the hull shape perfectly and is easy to work with. The deck is sealed against water and dampness. Quality Sample The surface to be covered must be dry and grease-free. We recommend our special adhesive no. 1736 for the installation of GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor. Qualities The surface of GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor is made of 100 % PVC and is thus resistant to temperature extremes, salt water and ultra-violet light. It is the ideal long-lasting and hardwearing deck surface. The pimpled suface profile lends the material its non-slip quality and pleasant underfoot feeling. When installed with full surface adhesive GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor is resistant to distortion and abrasion. The textile backing assures lasting adhesion to the deck surface. The flexibility of GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor means that it can be cut to shape with a pair of good size scissors or a modelling knife. We recommend that you first prepare a template when cutting out since this makes it easier to get a good fit in complex shapes. The fine pimple structure on GISATEX® ANTISLIDE marine floor permits sheets to be placed next to each other without pattern mismatch. Glue squeezed out at edges should be wiped away as soon as possible. We recommend you stick masking tape around the area to be glued before applying the adhesive and allowing it to dry for an hour. Then lay GISATEX ® ANTISLIDE marine floor onto the adhesive bed, smoothing out from the centre and wiping away excess glue as you go. Joins can be additionally sealed with silicon.
