The Mobile Landing Platform (MLP) is a crucial component of the Sea Base, designed to facilitate the selective offload of prepositioned equipment from the Sea Base to shore via LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion). Mission
The MLP conducts vehicle transfer operations from an LMSR to LCAC for transport ashore and supports HA/DR missions by transferring containers ashore. It also serves as an Afloat Forward Staging Base supporting the US Navy’s mine-countermeasures mission.
