Product catalog summary
Overview
The document provides a comprehensive overview of hollow oscillating disk pumps, referred to as P pumps, which are utilized in various industries including marine, chemical, petrochemical, paper, food, and paint. These pumps are versatile, capable of handling a diverse range of fluids such as viscous, lubricating, water solutions, slightly and medium abrasive products, and aggressive fluids.
Key Features
  • Self-Priming: P pumps are engineered to be self-priming, even with empty suction pipes and no suction valve. The priming capacity is dependent on the suction pipe layout and the type of liquid being pumped.
  • Reversible Operation: These pumps can function in both directions without compromising performance, achieved by reversing the motor's rotation direction.
  • Low Revolutions: Operating at a maximum of 480 RPM, these pumps ensure longevity and reliability due to fewer moving parts. This low speed is facilitated by a gearbox between the motor and pump.
  • Elastic Eccentricity: The pumping disk is maintained in contact with the pump body by an elastic device, allowing for the passage of solid particles and compensating for wear, thus maintaining consistent performance even with viscous, abrasive, or chemical fluids.
Working Principle
The pump operates through the movement of a hollow oscillating disk, creating a vacuum that draws fluid into the pump chamber and expels the fluid already present. The disk's movement is guided by an elastic device, allowing for the passage of solid particles and compensating for wear. The design ensures balanced pressure on both internal and external surfaces, facilitating efficient fluid transfer.
Performance Specifications
The document includes a table outlining the performance specifications of various pump models, detailing nozzle diameter, capacity at different pressures, absorbed power, and motor power. For instance, the P 25 model features a nozzle diameter of 1 inch, a capacity of 1.4 m3/h at 1 bar, and an absorbed power of 0.1 kW at 1 bar.

P HOLLOW OSCILLATING DISK PUMPS USES AND APPLICATION FIELDS The P pumps have been designed for use on wide ranging applications within the marine, chemical, petrochemical, paper, food and paint industries. It can pump different fluids from viscous and lubricating to water solutions, slightly and medium abrasive products, aggressive fluids, etc.. LOW NUMBER OF REVOLUTIONS OF THE PUMPING PART The P pumps have a maximum number of revolutions of 480 RPM; this means that the shaft, the bearings and the rotor with its elastic device rotate at a maximum of 480 RPM. A low number of revolutions guarantees...

The hollow disk is pivoted eccentrically with regard to the pump shaft and is driven by a baffle-plate separating the suction port from the delivery one. The shaft rotation drags the hollow disk in an oscillating movement and keeps it always tangent to the outer and the inner cylindrical surfaces, thanks to two diametrically opposed generating lines, thus forming two movable hydraulic seals. Il disco cavo e imperniato in modo eccentrico rispetto all'al-bero della pompa ed e guidato dal diaframma che separa la bocca di aspirazione da quella di mandata. La rotazione dell'albero trascina in un movimento...

WORKING PRINCIPLE Figure 1 shows the four positions of the hollow disk, how it shifts and how the volume varies progressively from intake to delivery, both internally and externally with respect to the pumping disk. The picture also shows that both internal and external surfaces are always balanced with respect to the pressures. An elastic device is inserted between the shaft and the pivot of the disk, thus allowing the free passage of suspended solid particles which dimension is limited by the size of the pump itself. Furthermore it permits to overcome eventual slacks caused by wearing and prevent...
