Design and Development
The name 'Mirage' reflects the yacht's almost surreal design, characterized by multiple curved surfaces. This innovative design approach was first cautiously introduced with the 858 Fantom and has been further developed in the 747 Mirage. Frauscher's success is attributed to high-quality craftsmanship and avant-garde design, setting new standards in motorboat construction.

The development involved a yacht designer, a product designer, and a development chief to ensure harmony between design and functionality. The yacht's design process is complex, involving advanced software to model three-dimensional surfaces, similar to those in luxury sports cars.

Design Team and Process
The collaboration between yacht designer Harry Miesbauer, product designer Gerald Kiska, and development chief Thomas Gerzer resulted in the 858 Fantom, which was a stepping stone to the more challenging design of the Mirage. Kiska, known for designing KTM motorcycles and Audi interiors, was given more creative freedom with the Mirage, resulting in bold design choices. The emphasis on the rear motor vents is a nod to super sports cars, highlighting the need for air intake for powerful engines.

The cockpit configuration is innovative, with curved gunwales and a sleek GFK footrail for safety. The driver's seat is surrounded by a dashboard that creates a feeling akin to driving a Lamborghini. The interior design is precise, with attention to hidden details like water drainage and anchor storage.

The yacht offers multifunctional space, with a comfortable access via the swim platform and adjustable seating arrangements. The foredeck features a double berth that can be used as a sunbed.

Performance
The Mirage's performance is likened to a super sports car, with a sporty steering wheel and a dashboard filled with instruments. The boat is powered by a Mercruiser V8 engine, providing a thrilling experience with a top speed of 43 knots.
