TE TI CH PS OVERBOARD POLE ASSEMBLY The Forespar® Overboard Pole design provides you with a 12’ (minimum required length) or a 15’ pole or any length in between. To assemble: Slide the smaller shaft (shaft with flag attached) into the larger (1/2”) shaft the desired amount. A minimum of 3” of bury (overlap) for the 15’ length and 39” for the 12 foot length. Mark the point on the inner (smaller) shaft and withdraw it from the outer shaft. Thoroughly mix the epoxy supplied and apply to the outside of the smaller shaft over the 3” that is immediately below the mark you made. Also apply some epoxy to the inside of the outer shaft. Be sure it’s the end that does not have the holes for the retainer clip! Overboard Poles occasionally get broken due to misuse or improper mounting or storage. Avoid potential failure to the upper shafts by: 1. 2. 3. Supporting the top of the pole with a flag tube. (#202013 OP-FT) Do not mount the pole with excessive bend. Do not place the pole where it can be used as a grab-hold for boarding the boat.
