It is essential for providing flexibility and adhesion on all bare untreated plastics; it will assist in preventing solvents from attacking sensitive plastics. • Characteristics: • Liquid, easy application • Suitable for MS Polymer Sealants • Applications: • Priming plastic parts prior to painting • Priming plastic panels used in transport construction. • • • Packaging: • 1000mL containers Shelf life: 18 months in unopened packaging in a cool and dry storage place a t temperatures between +5°C and +25°. Surfaces: Type : Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, most common plastics State of Surface: clean, dry, free of dust and grease We recommend a preliminary compatibility test. Do not apply to painted surfaces • • • Thoroughly clean all plastic parts to remove the release agents used in the manufacturing process. Release agents will rise to the surface as the plastic ages, this can degrade the quality of the adhesion To reduce the cure time plastic parts can be baked in an oven for 30 minutes at 60°C. This will also allow any release agents used in the production process to rise to the surface where they can be removed during cleaning Abrade the surfaces to be bonded with 120grit paper. Surfaces are to be clean and free of dust, debris, grease, oil, silicon etc. Clean with Methylated spirits or a good alcohol cleaner. Apply a single thin film of Primer PR20. Do not sand the primer We do not recommend Acetone for cleaning plastics. Method: Brush or spray Fluid Tip: 1.4-1.8 mm Air Pressure: 300-400 kPa Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C Clean up: with Acrylic Thinners immediately after application Recommendation: Primer PR20 should be applied in two light, uniform coats with 5 minutes flash allowed between coats when spraying Health- and Safety Recommendation: Apply the usual industrial hygiene. Wear gloves. Safety Glasses, Respirator Note: The contents contained in this documentation are the result of our experiments and of our experience and have been submitted in good faith.
