Product catalog summary
Technical Specifications:
Fixseal MSP15 is a high-quality, single-component joint sealant based on MS Polymer®. It is chemically neutral and fully elastic, suitable for low movement joints in various industries including construction, automotive, marine, and aerospace. The sealant has a stable paste consistency, cures through moisture, and forms a skin in approximately 12 minutes at 23°C/75% R.H. It has a hardness of 48 Shore A, a specific gravity of 1.64 g/mL, and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 100°C. The product exhibits high tensile strength (2.0 N/mm²) and elongation at break (>400%).

Characteristics:
Fixseal MSP15 offers high bond strength on a wide range of substrates, excellent adhesion on both porous and non-porous surfaces, and high-performance mechanical properties. It is flexible, accommodating movement up to 20%, and is UV and mold resistant. The sealant is non-toxic, free from isocyanates, solvents, halogens, and acids, and can be painted with water-based paints. It does not stain porous materials and is chemically resistant.

Applications:
The sealant is ideal for sealing and bonding in high traffic areas, floor joints, and low movement wall joints. It is suitable for materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, fiberglass, concrete, glass, and timber. It is also used in the sealing and bonding of coachwork, caravans, buses, boats, aircraft, and in domestic and commercial construction.

Packaging and Shelf Life:
Available in black and white, the product is packaged in 290mL cartridges and 600mL foil bags. The shelf life is 15 months for cartridges and 12 months for foil bags when stored in a cool, dry place between +5°C and +25°C.

Surface Preparation and Application:
Surfaces should be abraded, clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. Primer PR10 may be used for porous substrates, and PR20 for polypropylene. Non-porous substrates can be cleaned with methylated spirits or alcohol cleaner. The recommended joint dimensions are a minimum width of 2mm for bonding and 5mm for joints, with a maximum width of 10mm for bonding and 30mm for joints. Application is done using a manual or pneumatic caulking gun at temperatures between +1°C and +30°C.

Health and Safety:
Standard industrial hygiene practices should be followed, including wearing gloves and safety glasses. Compatibility tests are recommended for overpainting and substrate application due to varying properties.
