Product Description:
Fix1DC is a high-quality, single-component adhesive sealant designed for teak and synthetic teak caulking. It is moisture curing, forming a permanent elastic product suitable for marine, transport, and construction applications. It is UV and soap resistant, with excellent mechanical properties and sandability.
Characteristics:

Applications:
Suitable for caulking seams in real teak, most timber types, cork, and synthetic teak decking. Compatibility tests are recommended for other substrates.

Surface Preparation:
Surfaces must be solid, clean, dry, and free of dust and oils. For teak timber, use Fixseal Epoxy Sealer/Primer after cleaning with acetone. No sealing/priming needed for synthetic decking.
Joint Dimensions:
- Minimal Width: 2mm (bonding), 5mm (joint)
- Maximum Width: 10mm (bonding), 30mm (joint)
- Minimum Depth: 5mm (joint)
- Recommendation: Width of joint = 2 x depth
Chemical Resistance:
Good resistance to fresh and saltwater, pH neutral soaps, aliphatic solvents, mineral oils, and grease. Poor resistance to aromatic solvents, concentrated acids, and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Application Method:
Use a manual or pneumatic caulking gun. Clean tools with industrial alcohol cleaner immediately after application. Tool with a mild pH neutral soapy solution before skin formation.

Fix1DC is moisture curing and forms a permanent elastic product. It is chemically neutral, suitable for use in marine, transport and construction areas, where a strong flexible UV and soap resistant rubber bond is required. Characteristics: - Easy application - High extrudability and good workability - Ecological advantages, free from acids, isocyanates, solvents, Phthalates, halogens. - Excellent sandability after full cure (3-5 Days for best results) - Excellent mechanical properties - Flexible elastic rubber – movement accomodation up to 30% - No bubble formulation within the sealant - UV stable and colour fast Fix1DC is Not Paintable, Withstands all climatic conditions and suitable for use where pH neutral soap cleaning will occur. Verified by NOHSC as non-hazardous and ROHS as compliant for heath reasons. Note on Paintability: Paint, varnish and other coatings do not adhere to Fix1DC Deck Caulking. After sanding the deck including the caulking, be sure to thoroughly clean any surrounding surfaces that are to be painted with a good industrial alcohol cleaner to remove any contaminants that may cause “Fish Eye”!. Test surfaces before painting. Applications: Fix1DC is suitable for the caulking of seams in real teak, most other timber types, cork and Synthetic Teak decking.
