It is moisture curing and form a permanent elastic product. It is based on 3rd generation MS-Polymer® technology is chemically neutral and fully elastic. For use in marine and construction areas where a strong flexible rubber bond is required. Applications: Used for the caulking of teak and cork decking. Elastic bonding of teak, cork and PVC type decks on metal, timber and fibre glass substrates. (compatibility tests recommended) Bonding in areas subject to vibration. Fix100 (MSP100) is designed for use on teak and cork; for other timber types please consult our technical department. Characteristics: - Easy application - High extrudability and good workability - Ecological advantages, free from isocyanates, silicone, solvents, Phthalates, halogens and acids - Excellent sandability after full cure - Excellent mechanical properties - Flexible elastic rubber – movement accomodation up to 30% - No bubble formulation within the sealant - UV stable and colour fast - With stands all climatic conditions - Verified by NOHSC as non-hazardous Packaging: Colour - Black Packaging – 290mL cartridge, 600mL foil bag Shelf life: 15 months Cartridges; 12 months Foil Bags Stored between +5°C and +25°. Surfaces: State of Surface: Abraded, clean, dry, free of dust and grease Priming: For porous substrates Fixseal Epoxy Sealer/Primer may be applied. Polypropylene, Primer PR20. TECHNICAL DATA SHEET Surfaces continued: alcohol cleaner or wax and grease remover. We recommend a preliminary compatibility test. Health- and Safety Recommendation: Apply the usual industrial hygiene. Wear gloves . Safety Glasses. Bonding: Fix100 (MSP100) has excellent adhesion properties on most common substrates, as well as on primed teak. Please remove any protective films from all surfaces prior to application of Fix100 (MSP100). For optimal results it is advisable to pretreat the the surface.
