FIX 30

Product catalog summary
Technical Specifications:
Fix 30 is a universal flexible adhesive based on SMX Polymer, presented as a paste with a chemical curing system. It has an open time of approximately 30-40 minutes and an adjustability time of about 10 minutes at 21°C and 50% relative humidity. The adhesive has a specific gravity of approximately 1.65g/cm³ and a viscosity of about 56,000 mPa.s. It exhibits an elongation at break of approximately 300% and an application rate of 800-1200g/m² depending on the substrate. The adhesive is solvent-free, with a temperature resistance from -40°C to 90°C and good durability against aging. It sets to load-bearing in a minimum of 12 hours and has a shear strength greater than 1.5 N/mm².
Product Description:
Fix 30 is a solvent and water-free adhesive suitable for bonding various materials such as timber, stone, marble, and granite onto different substrates. It is ideal for both internal and external applications in marine, transport, and construction industries. The adhesive cures to form an elastic, non-shrinkable layer resistant to heat and moisture.
Characteristics:
- Ready to use, single component
- Very low emissions (EC-1 label)
- Solvent and water-free, free of isocyanates
- Easy application, forms stable peaks
- Rapid cure and high final bond strength
- Suitable for marine teak decks and parquetry flooring systems
Applications:
Fix 30 is suitable for bonding wooden and stone floors and walls, including parquet wood planks, granite, marble, and laminates. It can be used on porous and non-porous surfaces such as mosaic, concrete screeds, timber, fibreglass, aluminium, MDF, steel, and floors with underfloor heating.
Packaging and Shelf Life:
Available in 600mL foil bags with a shelf life of 12 months when stored in a cool, dry place between +5°C and +25°C.
Substrate Preparation:
Ensure the substrate is suitable, dry, clean, and smooth. Check moisture content with a hygrometer, adhering to recommended levels. Treat powdery or porous substrates with an epoxy sealer if necessary. Clean substrates thoroughly before application.
Adhesive Application:
Acclimatize Fix 30 to room temperature before use. Apply with a notched trowel to both surfaces, ensuring at least 80% contact coverage. Allow a minimum of 24 hours before sanding and finishing.
Health and Safety:
Follow industrial hygiene precautions, wearing protective gloves and safety glasses. Clean uncured adhesive with methylated spirits or an alcohol-based cleaner.
Recommendations:
- Do not apply to substrates not protected against rising damp
- Avoid application below 15°C or above 35°C
- Do not apply when relative humidity exceeds 75%
- Ensure substrate moisture content meets manufacturer recommendations

Product: Fix 30 is a solvent and water free universal flexible adhesive. Suitable for bonding many types of timber, stone, marble, granite and other products onto a variety of substrates. It is ideal for exotic timbers and suitable for external and internal applications for marine, transport and construction industries. Ability to feather edge build without shrinkage or cracking, sound absorbtion, impact resistance and flexibility. Fix 30 cures by means of a chemical reaction within the adhesive. Once cured (approx. 24hrs @ 21°C and 50% R.H) an elastic non shrinkable adhesive layer is formed, which is resistant to heat and moisture.
