Product catalog summary
Installation Instructions:
- Do not seal the wire way with silicone as it will cause the PTS-XX to malfunction.
- Avoid over-tightening the PTS-XX to the tank; tighten finger tight and then an additional ¼ turn.
- Do not expose the sender to vacuum to prevent damage.
Normal Operation:
- The PTS-XX measures tank level continuously, but the display activates only when the switch is pressed.
- To check the tank level, press the corresponding switch on the LLM-2. LEDs will indicate the current tank level.
Troubleshooting:
- If the empty LED flashes, verify all connections between the PTS-XX and the LLM-2.
- If connections are correct, remove power for 20 seconds and reapply.
- If the gauge reads correctly initially but drops, the sender may have a leak and needs repair.
- If the gauge reads full constantly, recalibrate using the instructions provided. If unresolved, the transducer may be damaged.
- Ensure no plugged vents are causing a vacuum, which can damage the sender.
- For persistent issues, contact technical service at 1-866-350-9500.
System Parameters:
- Operating Voltage: 10.8V to 16V
- Max Pressure: 10 psi
- Media: Waste/Fresh Water
- Max Sender Length: 36” (1.2 psi H2O)
Optional Field Calibration Method:
- The PTS-XX can be shortened and recalibrated if necessary.
- Follow the steps to connect wires, submerge the sender, and calibrate the display for empty and full levels.
- After calibration, trim the exposed green and white wires to prevent accidental recalibration.
Determining Sender Length:
- Calculate sender length as (Height of Tank) – (1.5”).
- The 1.5” is subtracted to prevent the sender from bottoming out in the tank.
Notes on Field Calibration:
- The display lights will indicate when the liquid level rises above or drops below the calibrated empty and full points.
