Retracted foil stays within 2.5m trailering beam Foil can be fully retracted and out of water when not in use. No drag in light winds, and no need to remove and store foils when trailering. Float can be fully folded with curved foil in place. But float rudders would be a problem One very deep central rudder only shown, for simplicity. Avoids heavy and expensive double rudders and a much more complex steering system. Boat can also be steered while folded, and there is no need to find space to store two very large rudders when trailering. Float rudders will however be optional if needed.
