Specifications
The AGM Sealed VRLA Battery is designed for a long life of 10 years as per EUROBAT standards. It has a nominal voltage of 12V and a nominal capacity of 9AH. The dimensions are 151mm (L) x 65mm (W) x 93.5mm (H) with a total height of 99.5mm. The battery weighs approximately 2.7kg and can handle a maximum discharge current of 135A for 5 seconds. The internal resistance is approximately 16 mΩ, and it uses a T2 standard terminal with an ABS UL94-V0 container material.
Constant-Voltage Charge
For cycle applications, the rated capacity varies with the discharge rate, with a 20-hour rate at 9.1AH and a 5-hour rate at 7.55AH. The initial current should be limited to less than 2.25A, and charging should continue until the battery voltage reaches 14.1V to 14.4V at 25ºC. The voltage should be maintained until the current drops below 0.054A for at least 3 hours. A temperature compensation coefficient of -30mV/ºC is recommended. For standby service, the battery should be held at a constant voltage of 13.6 to 13.8 volts with a current limit of 2.25A.
Operating Conditions
The nominal operating temperature range is 25±3°C. The discharge temperature range is -15 to 50°C, the charge range is 0 to 40°C, and the storage range is -15 to 40°C. It is important to charge the battery within 6 months of storage to prevent permanent capacity loss due to sulfation.
Performance Characteristics
The document includes detailed tables for constant current and constant power discharge at various end voltages and time intervals. The cycle life is related to the depth of discharge, and the capacity is affected by temperature, with 103% capacity at 40°C, 100% at 25°C, and 86% at 0°C.
