Specifications
The AGM Sealed VRLA Battery is designed for a long life of 10-12 years as per EUROBAT standards. It has a nominal voltage of 12V and a nominal capacity of 33AH. The dimensions are 196mm (L) x 130mm (W) x 154mm (H) with a total height of 166mm. The battery weighs approximately 10kg and can handle a maximum discharge current of 495A for 5 seconds. It has an internal resistance of approximately 8 mΩ and uses an M6 standard terminal with an ABS container material.
Constant-Voltage Charge
For cycle applications, the initial current should be limited to less than 8.25A. The battery should be charged until the voltage reaches 14.1V to 14.4V at 25ºC (77ºF). It should be maintained at this voltage until the current drops below 0.198A for at least 3 hours. The temperature compensation coefficient for charging voltage is -30mV/ºC. For standby service, the battery should be held across a constant voltage source of 13.6 to 13.8 volts with a current limit of 7.75A continuously. The temperature compensation coefficient here is -18mV/ºC.
Operating Conditions
The nominal operating temperature range is 25±3°C (77±5°F). The discharge temperature range is -15 to 50°C, the charge range is 0 to 40°C, and the storage range is -15 to 40°C. It is important to charge the battery within 6 months of storage to prevent permanent capacity loss due to sulfation.
Performance Characteristics
The battery's capacity is affected by temperature, with 103% capacity at 40°C (104°F), 100% at 25°C (77°F), and 86% at 0°C (32°F). The document includes detailed tables for constant current and constant power discharge at various end voltages and time intervals, highlighting the battery's performance under different conditions.
