Product catalog summary
Specifications
The AGM Sealed VRLA Battery has a nominal voltage of 12V and a nominal capacity of 18AH. Its dimensions are 182mm (L) x 77mm (W) x 166mm (H), with a weight of approximately 5.1kg. The maximum discharge current is 270A for 5 seconds, and the internal resistance is approximately 17 mΩ. The standard terminal is M5, and the container material is ABS.
Constant-Voltage Charge
For cycle applications, the initial current should be limited to less than 4.5A. Charging should continue until the battery voltage reaches 14.1V to 14.4V at 25ºC (77ºF). The voltage should be maintained until the current drops below 0.108A for at least 3 hours. The temperature compensation coefficient for charging voltage is -30mV/ºC. For standby service, the battery should be held across a constant voltage source of 13.6 to 13.8 volts with a current limit of 4.5A continuously. The temperature compensation coefficient is -18mV/ºC.
Operating Conditions
The nominal operating temperature range is 25±3°C (77±5°F). The discharge temperature range is -15 to 50°C, the charge range is 0 to 40°C, and the storage range is -15 to 40°C. The battery should be charged within 6 months of storage to prevent permanent capacity loss due to sulfation.
Performance Characteristics
The battery's capacity is affected by temperature, with 103% capacity at 40°C, 100% at 25°C, and 86% at 0°C. The cycle life is related to the depth of discharge, and the battery's float life is influenced by temperature. Self-discharge characteristics and capacity curves at different temperatures are provided.
Discharge Characteristics
The document provides detailed tables for constant current and constant power discharge at various end voltages and time intervals, highlighting the battery's performance under different conditions.

SLC 18-12-1

SLC SERIES GENERAL PURPOSE BATTERIES AGM SEALED VRLA BATTERY 5-6 YEARS OF EXPECTED LIFETIME (EURO BAT) CONSTANT-VOLTAGE CHARGE Rated Capacity Cycle Application 1. Limit initial current less than 4.5A. 2. Charge until battery voltage (under charge) reaches 14.1V to 14.4V at 25°C(77°F). 3. Hold at 14.1V to 14.4V until current drop to under 0.108A for at least 3 hrs. 4. Temperature compensation coefficient of charging voltage is -30mV/°C. Standby Service 1. Hold battery across constant voltage source of 13.6 to 13.8 volts with current limit 4.5A continuously. When held at this voltage, the battery will seek its own current level and maintain itself in a fully charge status. 2. Temperature compensation coefficient of charging voltage is -18mV/°C. Nominal Operating Temp. Range 25±3°C (77±5°F) NOTE : The battery should be charged within 6 months of storage, Otherwise, permanent loss of capacity might occur as a result of sulfation
