The battery weighs approximately 3.45kg and can handle a maximum discharge current of 180A for 5 seconds. Constant-Voltage Charge For cycle applications, the rated capacity varies with the discharge rate: 12.2AH at a 20-hour rate, 11.4AH at a 10-hour rate, 10.1AH at a 5-hour rate, 6.0AH at a 27-minute rate, and 4.2AH at a 7-minute rate. The initial current should be limited to less than 3.0A, and charging should continue until the battery voltage reaches 14.1V to 14.4V at 25ºC. The voltage should be maintained until the current drops below 0.072A for at least 3 hours. The temperature compensation coefficient for charging voltage is -30mV/ºC.
For standby service, the battery should be held across a constant voltage source of 13.6 to 13.8 volts with a current limit of 3.0A continuously. The temperature compensation coefficient is -18mV/ºC.
Operating Conditions The nominal operating temperature range is 25±3°C. The discharge temperature range is -15 to 50°C, the charge range is 0 to 40°C, and the storage range is -15 to 40°C. It is important to charge the battery within 6 months of storage to prevent permanent capacity loss due to sulfation.
