TECHNICAL DATA WEIR SKIMMER Open water Weir skimmers consist of a number of oats tted with self-adjusting weirs, the ring surrounding the oating pump sets the water level inside the hopper, when the hopper is pumped out the ring drops allowing the surrounding oil to ow over the weir which effectively removes thick or thin layers of oil or pollutant. Suitable for permanent installation or emergency deployment, weir skimmers are light-weight, easy to transport and one person operated.
