The onboard BlueTraker® terminal collects vessel positions using GPS satellite signals and sends them together with speed, heading and sensor data to the Telematic Data Server. The BlueTraker® terminal sends data via the GSM/GPRS network (BT 2200 and 2000) when the vessel is within a few miles of shore and via the Iridium satellite network (BT2200 and 2100) when on open seas.
