The hybrid spreader has a unique combination of the efficiency of our electric spreaders with the reliability of our well-known hydraulic piggyback legs system. Designed for operations where twist-lock handling is primary, but occasional trailer handling is required, this solution optimizes energy consumption while ensuring full versatility. During twistlock handling, the spreader runs fully electrically, making it significantly quieter. VECTRIX Engineered with precision and combining years of experience with forward-thinking innovation, the Vectrix spreader series sets a new standard in performance. Central to its performance is the idea of vector meets matrix - a balance of strength, durability, and smart mechanics. This synergy allows the Vectrix spreaders to be energy efficient and at the same time robust and trustworthy. With a modular design, the Vectrix spreader series offers a cost-effective customization by the possibility to easily adapt and replace individual components to meet specific operational needs, resulting in easier maintenance, reduced downtime, and an extended lifespan. TWISTLOCK SYSTEM The twistlock system is manufactured in a very rugged design and is well proven since many years. 8615H Vectrix has hardened, penduling ISO quick exchange twistlocks. They are activated by one motor and gearbox and have mechanical interlocking against faulty locking and unlocking. TELESCOPING SYSTEM Telescoping is powered by one electric motor, gearbox and chain which makes simultaneous telescoping of beams. PIGGYBACK LEGS SYSTEM The leg arrangement is done according to the ELME design system, which is a load clamping system that involves all four foldable piggyback legs in an automatic sequence. Thanks to this feature the spreader can be lowered between containers that are block stacked front to front and side to side. The feet are designed according to European standard and made of Strenx® 900E material (meets S 890 QL) to extend life time. Sensors (integrated in the feet) detect when the trailer is clamped and send signals to the indication system. To avoid unclamping, a signal is also sent as soon as the container/trailer is lifted off the ground. CONTROL AND PROTECTION SYSTEM Control voltage on the spreader is always converted to 24V DC for safety and reliability. Electrical systems monitor the state of the spreader at all times. Indicator lights advise the operator when the spreader is correctly seated, and in intermodal mode, locked or not locked/unlocked. Each signal is a precondition for the important protection functions of the spreader, such as twistlock activation, telescoping, piggyback legs and lift interrupt. DESIGN STANDARDS The spreader is designed in compliance with EN15056 and EN13001.
