The design draws upon the traditional strong points of the RO-BOOM system i.e. individual air chambers, high quality construction, good stability and survivability. Although lighter, RO-BOOM 1800 is still significantly superior to other types of inflatable booms in terms of tensile strength, puncture resistance, abrasion resistance and tear resistance.
