Passenger Ferry Designed by Propulsion Data Services, the new ferry is a traditional USCG Subchapter K passenger vessel. The design of the vessel is based upon and improves that of the Fire Island Clipper. Hull and superstructure are of aluminum alloy. Seating on the enclosed main deck salon and open upper passenger deck will accommodate 260 passengers. Outfit of the passenger areas is clean, simple, and easily maintained. Three 600 hp Detroit Diesel Series 60 keel-cooled engines, each paired with Twin Disk gear sets, drive three 32" diameter 30" pitch propellers to power the ferry to speeds of approximately 22 knots light. The shallow draft, triple screw configuration is well suited to the shallow waters of the bay. DERECKTOR 22m Passenger Ferry
