Urethane Products Corporation (UPC) offers a variety of Fender Systems designed to protect naval vessels, commercial tankers, cruise ships, docks, and harbors. These systems are engineered to provide high energy absorption, up to 40% better than similar pneumatic fenders, and feature a low reaction force for gradual impact absorption. They are easy to install, either fixed or floating, and conform to ship hulls without causing damage. The fenders require low maintenance as they do not have pressure relief or inflation valves and are unsinkable even when punctured.
The Marine Cushion™ Foam Filled Fender is built to meet the stringent specifications of the United States Navy and Coast Guard. It is constructed with closed-cell energy-absorbing foam, protected by a non-marking polyurethane elastomer skin reinforced with tire nylon cord, ensuring consistent performance over years of service. The fender is equipped with net chains and tires, consisting of aircraft tires wrapped around the fender, secured with heavy-duty galvanized stud link chains and shackles, leading to robust clevis plates at each end.
