Towable Storage TanksCovertex designs and builds towable storage tanks for the storage and transport of hydrocarbons, either offloaded from vessels or recovered from oil spills. These tanks offer robust towing performance, capable of being towed by almost any craft at speeds up to 15 knots when empty and 7 knots when full. Smaller tanks can be lifted for rapid discharge or land transportation. Capacities range from 5m³ to 100m³, and tanks can be decontaminated after use.
FabricsConstructed from heavy-duty 2700gsm polyester reinforced fabric, providing high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion, puncture, oil, and UV exposure. Manufactured in safety orange with yellow side pockets.
Design & ConstructionAll components are engineered to provide safe-working loads during towing operations. The 5m³ and 10m³ units are engineered for lifting when full.
