CoreLite PVC HT Data Sheet

CoreLite PVC HT Data Sheet

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: CoreLite® PVC HT is a high-temperature resistant, closed-cell, cross-linked polymer PVC foam. It is designed for durability, rigidity, and strength, with compatibility across various resins and adhesives. The foam is characterized by low water absorption and excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for lightweight composite applications exposed to high temperatures.
Processing Methods: The material can be processed using hand lamination, spray lay-up, vacuum infusion, resin injection, adhesive bonding, pre-preg processing (up to 140°C/285°F), and thermoforming.
Applications: CoreLite® PVC HT is used in various industries, including marine (hulls, decking, bulkheads), transportation (floors, ceilings, doors), wind energy (rotor blades, covers), aerospace (fuselage components, kitchen trolleys), and industrial applications (covers, containers, sporting goods).
Mechanical Properties: The data sheet provides detailed mechanical properties for two densities (60 and 80 kg/m³ or lbs./cu.ft), including compressive strength, tensile strength, shear strength, and thermal conductivity. The material exhibits a density tolerance of +/- 10% and water absorption of less than 1%.
Standard Sheet Dimensions: Sheets are available in various lengths, widths, and thicknesses, with color options of yellow and pink.
