Simpson Davits produce a complete range of fixed or folding gangways (passerelles), for boarding from quay or marina, or for use as steps Sizes vary from 2m (6ft) to 3.5m (10'6") in length - other sizes available to special order. Since Cooney Marine took over Simpson Davits they have been considering ways to improve on the traditional davit, the result is the new Series 7 Davit. 15 Models 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250 Traditional davits have been designed to lift or lower weights up to 250kg (550lbs) per pair of davits. Hand operated, with standard or enclosed bases, and incorporating an adjustable sliding arm extension for final positioning of the raised dinghy or tender. Standard base allows for the easy access of the securing bolts and can be used in conjunction with transom brackets or deck shoes, which makes for the easy removal of the davits for stowage.
