TECHNICAL DATA SHEET DESCRIPTION: PLASTIVERNIS 127 is a multi-purpose marine varnish made of alkyd-urethane resins particularly resistant to physical and chemical attack. PLASTIVERNIS 127 is UV resistant. Gloss or satin, this varnish highlights and protects wood. CLASSIFICATION: AFNOR NF T.30.003 - Family I - Class 4a PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: Resin binder Density at 20° C Viscosity NF 4 at 20°C Solids Flash point Colour Finish Alkyd-urethane 0.90 + 0.03 90" + 5" 50 + 2% by weight / 45 + 2% by volume > 21°C Colourless after drying Glossy or satin SURFACE PREPARATION: PLASTIVERNIS 127 must be applied on a clean and dry surface. On new wood : sanding and dusting Existing varnish : light sanding and dusting PLASTIVERNIS 127 applies on all previous varnishes without any risk of fibre soaking. VARNISH PREPARATION : Mix thoroughly before use. Applies readily by brush, roller or spray. Temperature range On new wood : 1st coat : 20% of THINNER 127 15% of THINNER 127 10% of THINNER 127 5% of THINNER 127 For a perfect finish, sanding between each coat is suggested (400 grade abrasive) On existing varnish : 1st coat : 10 % of THINNER 127 2nd coat : 5 % of THINNER 127 Thinning percentages must be increased when using a spray. : Surface dry : 90 minutes To touch : 6 hours Sandable : 24 hours : Theoretical :14 m2/l Practical : depends on wood quality and application method (11-12 m2/l). : Min. 5°C - max.30°C 2nd coat 3 rd coat : 4th coat : PACKING AND SHELF-LTFE: Available in: 0.250 litres, 0.750 litres, 2.5 litres and 16 litres.
