Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Sand previous paint coats lightly. Specific preparation methods are recommended for different materials: polyester requires light sanding and wax removal, steel needs rust removal, aluminium requires chemical abrasion, and wood should be thinned for the first coat.
Paint Preparation: Mix well before use.
Application: Can be applied by spray, brush, or roller. For spray application, thin with 10 to 20% fresh water. Recommended thickness is 80 microns wet (40 microns dry). Drying times at 20°C are 30 minutes to surface dry, 1 hour to touch, and 12 hours for recoating. Coverage is 10 to 12 m²/l.
Packing and Shelf-Life: Available in 0.750 litres, 3 litres, and 15 litres. Excellent shelf-life when unopened and stored in a dry place.

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PLASTIPRIM’O GENERIC TYPE : UNIVERSAL PRIMER TYPE : SINGLE-PACK WATER-BASED ALKYD URETHANE DESCRIPTION: A new generation of environmentally-friendly marine paints, PLASTIPRIM’O is a singlepack water-based alkyd-urethane primer, applicable onto all types of paint supports (wood, steel, polyester, aluminium, etc.) in 1 to 2 coats, designed for the painting of all types of single-pack finishes and antifoulings. CLASSIFICATION: NFT 30.005 / Family I, Class 4a PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: Resin binder Density at 20°C Viscosity at 20°C Solids Flash point Colour Finish : Water-based alkyd-urethane : 1,26 : Thixotrope : 53% + 2% : Not applicable : Pearl grey : Matt-silk SURFACE PREPARATION: PLASTIPRIM’O must be applied to a clean and dry surface. Previous coats of paint should be lightly sanded to enable adhesion. Polyester: a light sanding of the polyester is recommended. On new polyester, remove wax mould marks with our DILUANT DECIRANT, then sand. Steel: steel brush or sandblast the surface to remove rust. Aluminium: chemical abrasion followed by freshwater rinsing is necessary to enable adhesion. Wood: thin to 10% for first coat. PAINT PREPARATION: Mix well before use.
