TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PLASTILUX 127 GENERIC TYPE : MICROPOROUS MARINE GLOSS FINISH FOR WOOD TYPE : OLEORESINOUS DESCRIPTION: PLASTILUX 127 is particularly suited to the protection of wood, its preferred support. Quickdrying with its glycerol-phthalate binder, half of its composition is however made of linseed oil and stand oil to enhance wood penetration and avoid the problem of a film which is too watertight. PLASTILUX 127 is microporous and does not flake. Wooden hulls: due to the linseed oil and its wood-sustaining properties, PLASTILUX 127 can be applied directly. It can also be applied over the top of existing oil-based or glycerophthalic paint. Tip: do not apply PLASTILUX 127 below the waterline as a finish but complete with the antifouling. PAINT PREPARATION: Mix thoroughly before use. APPLICATION: PLASTILUX 127 should be applied in 1 or 2 coats by brush, medium lengthed haired roller or lacquer Thinning : THINNER 127 Brush and roller : 1st coat (impression) : up to 10 % Following coats : without thinning Recommended thickness : 80 microns wet (50 microns dry) per coat. Theoretical coverage : 11 m² / litre. Drying time at 20°C : Surface dry : 4 hours To touch : 10 hours To recoat : 24 hours Temperature range : mini 3°C - maxi 35°C.
