Description: PLASTILUX 127 is an oleoresinous microporous marine gloss finish designed for wood protection. It features a glycerol-phthalate binder and is composed of linseed oil and stand oil to enhance wood penetration and prevent excessive film tightness. It is quick-drying and does not flake.
Classification: NF T.30.003 - Family I - Class 4a.
Physical Properties: The resin binder consists of glycerophthalic resin and linseed oil. The density at 20°C is 1.45 ± 0.05 for white, with a viscosity of 60" ± 2" NF6. Solids content is 82% ± 2% by weight and 66% ± 2% by volume. The flash point is above 21°C. Available in white and 22 standard shades with a semi-gloss finish.
Surface Preparation: Apply on clean, dry surfaces using a brush or roller. Suitable for wooden hulls and can be applied over existing oil-based or glycerophthalic paint. Not recommended for application below the waterline without antifouling.
Paint Preparation: Mix thoroughly before use.
Application: Apply 1 or 2 coats using a brush, medium-length haired roller, or lacquer. Use THINNER 127 for thinning the first coat up to 10%. Subsequent coats should not be thinned. Recommended wet thickness is 80 microns (50 microns dry) per coat. Theoretical coverage is 11 m²/litre. Drying times at 20°C are 4 hours to surface dry, 10 hours to touch, and 24 hours to recoat. Suitable temperature range is 3°C to 35°C.
Packing and Shelf-Life: Available in 0.75 L, 2.5 L, and 16 L containers. Shelf-life is 12 months if unopened and stored in a dry place.

Quickdrying with its glycerol-phthalate binder, half of its composition is however made of linseed oil and stand oil to enhance wood penetration and avoid the problem of a film which is too watertight. PLASTILUX 127 is microporous and does not flake.
