TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PLASTILAQUE 127 GENERIC TYPE TYPE : GLOSSY MARINE LACQUER : ONE-PACK GLOSSY ALKYD-URETHANE DESCRIPTION: PLASTILAQUE 127 is an all purpose alkyd-urethane resin-based marine paint. With its high gloss and perfect coverage, PLASTILAQUE 127 guarantees optimal protection and perfect UV resistance and is equally recommended for the protection of natural wood. CLASSIFICATION : AFNOR NF T.30.003 - Family I - Class 4a PHYSICAL PROPERTIES : Resin binder Density at 20°C Viscosity NF 4 at 20°C Solids Flash point Colour Finish : Alkyd-urethane resin : 1.15 + 0.05 (white) : 135" + 5" : 62 + 2 % by weight / 45 + 2 % by volume : > 21°C : White + 22 standards shades : Glossy SURFACE PREPARATION: PLASTILAQUE 127 must be applied on a clean and dry surface. Refer to the our recommendation sheets for wood surfaces (can be applied on polyester after a perfect sanding). On steel, apply after using our rustproof paint STEEL PRIMER 127. PLASTILAQUE 127 can be applied on existing paint without risk of fibre soaking after sanding lightly. PAINT PREPARATION: Mix thoroughly before use. APPLICATION: Apply two coats readily by brush, roller or spray. Thinning : 1st coat : 10-15 % of THINNER 127 2nd coat : 5% max. of THINNER 127 By spray : 15-20 % of THINNER 127 Recommended thickness per coat : 90 microns wet (40 microns dry) Drying time at 20°C : Surface dry : 90 minutes To touch : 6 hours To recoat : 12 hours Hard dry : 24 hours In case of immersion, wait for total hardening of the product (7 to 8 days according to temperature). Coverage : 11 m²/litre Temperature range : Min. 5°C - max. 30°C PACKING AND SHELF-LIFE: Available in: Shelf-life: 0.300 litres (in 7 colours), 0.75 litres, 2.5 litres and 16 litres. 24 months unopened and stored in a dry place.
