TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PLASTILAQUE 180 GENERIC TYPE : WATER-BASED GLOSS FINISH TYPE : ALKYDE EMULSION DESCRIPTION: A new generation of environmentally-friendly marine paints, PLASTILAQUE 180 is a water soluble single-pack marine lacquer finish, which can be applied in two layers onto polyester, aluminium, steel and wood (very dry). With its high gloss and perfect coverage, PLASTILAQUE 180 guarantees optimal protection and perfect UV resistance and is equally recommended for the protection of natural wood. CLASSIFICATION: AFNOR NF T.36.005 - Family I - Class 4a PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: Resin binder Density at 20°C Viscosity at 20°C Solids Colour Finish : alkyd emulsion : 1.35 + 0.05 (white) : 45 P + 3 P : 58 + 2 % by weight / 45 + 2 % by volume : White + 13 standard shades : Glossy SURFACE PREPARATION: PLASTILAQUE 180 must be applied to a clean and dry surface. PLASTILAQUE 180 covers all existing paint without risk of soaking. It can be applied on a glazed polyester gelcoat, aluminium (after primer application), steel (after STEEL PRIMER 180) or wood (after PLASTIPRIM’O or thinned PLASTILAQUE 180). PAINT PREPARATION: Mix thoroughly before use. APPLICATION: Can be readily applied in two coats by brush, roller or spray. Thinning : 1st coat thinned with 10 % water (tap water). 2nd coat thinned with 5 % water maximum, or pure. To apply with spray : 10 to 15 % water. Recommended thickness : 90 microns wet (40 microns dry). Drying time at 20°C : Surface dry : 1 hour To touch : 3 heures To recoat : 24 heures Coverage : 13 m²/litre Temperature range : mini 5°C - maxi 30°C. Cleaning : Tap water or cleaning solvent if the product is dry. PACKING AND SHELF-LIFE: Available in: Storage: 0.75 L, 2.5 L and 16 L 18 months unopened and stored in a dry place.
