Description: PLASTILAQUE 180 is an environmentally-friendly, water-based gloss finish marine paint. It is a single-pack lacquer suitable for polyester, aluminium, steel, and very dry wood. It offers high gloss, excellent coverage, optimal protection, and UV resistance, making it ideal for natural wood protection.
Classification: AFNOR NF T.36.005 - Family I - Class 4a.
Physical Properties: The paint uses an alkyd emulsion resin binder, with a density of 1.35 ± 0.05 at 20°C for white. Viscosity is 45 P ± 3 P at 20°C. Solids content is 58 ± 2% by weight and 45 ± 2% by volume. Available in white and 13 standard shades with a glossy finish.
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. It can cover existing paint and is applicable on glazed polyester gelcoat, aluminium (with primer), steel (with STEEL PRIMER 180), and wood (with PLASTIPRIM’O or thinned PLASTILAQUE 180).
Paint Preparation: Mix thoroughly before use.
Application: Apply in two coats using a brush, roller, or spray. The first coat should be thinned with 10% water, and the second coat with a maximum of 5% water or pure. For spray application, thin with 10-15% water. Recommended wet thickness is 90 microns (40 microns dry). Drying times at 20°C are 1 hour to surface dry, 3 hours to touch, and 24 hours to recoat. Coverage is 13 m²/litre, with a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C. Clean with tap water or solvent if dry.
Packing and Shelf-Life: Available in 0.75 L, 2.5 L, and 16 L containers. Shelf-life is 18 months if unopened and stored in a dry place.

With its high gloss and perfect coverage, PLASTILAQUE 180 guarantees optimal protection and perfect UV resistance and is equally recommended for the protection of natural wood.
