COMPACT DC

COMPACT DC

Product catalog summary
Introduction
This document provides technical specifications and operational guidelines for 12V and 24V DC motorized valves used in various automation systems, including watercraft, civil and industrial vehicles, and systems utilizing alternative energy.

Specifications
DC actuators can be connected using 2 or 3 points in both direct and alternating current. They are compatible with all ball valves described in the technical sheets and can operate in 2-way or 3-way configurations. The actuators have a nominal torque absorption of 22 Nm and an operating time of 30 seconds for 90° rotation. The power supply options include 12V DC/AC and 24V DC/AC.

Technical Features
The actuators are designed with a protection degree of IP67 and can operate in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 50°C. They feature a ribbed surface made from a glass-reinforced techno-polymer, ensuring durability and moisture resistance. The external metal components are made from AISI 303 GVR and brass CW617N.

Electrical Connections
For 2-point control, the actuator uses a switch-type control for opening and closing. The wiring diagram specifies terminal connections for both DC and AC power supplies. For 3-point control, voltage is diverted to specific terminals to open or close the valve.

Operational Guidelines
In the event of a power failure, the actuator remains in its last position. Additional microswitches provide feedback for valve opening and closing, useful for notifications and control systems. It is important not to reverse the direction of rotation instantly during operation.

Installation Recommendations
Actuators should not be installed with the connection facing down. For systems with extreme temperatures, the recommended installation position should be followed to prevent frost or overheating.

Applications
These motorized valves are suitable for various marine and industrial applications, including sea water intakes, sedimentation tanks, and fluid regulation systems.

Certification
The product is certified under UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, ensuring quality and reliability.

DC-CURRENT ACTUATORS Should power fail, the actuator remains in the position it was when the power outage occurred. DC actuators feature: • an additional opening feedback microswitch (free contact) which is electrically closed when the valve is open. Example of use: notification of opening, pump relay actuation, boiler control, notification to PLC, etc. • an additional closinsg feedback microswitch (free contact) which is electrically closed when the valve is closed. Example of use: notification of closing, relay actuation, notification to PLC, etc. The layout of the additional microswitch contacts...

COMPACT DC-4

DC-CURRENT ACTUATORS The valve should be installed in such a way that the actuator connection is not facing down. When the valve works with low-temperature fluids (possible frost formation on the valve stem) or with high-temperature fluids (danger of actuator overheating), it is advisable to install it in the recommended position, as shown in the picture.
