The Orange Handsmoke is a hand-held marine distress signal for daytime use to indicate position and wind direction. Produces dense orange smoke for 60 seconds. ORANGE HAND SMOKE VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNAL Produces orange smoke signal for 1 minute Daytime, short range distress signal, used to pinpoint position and indicate wind direction once potential rescuer is sighted. Ideal for use on yachts, dinghies, RIBs, canoes and is included in our Inshore and Coastal kits. Should be stored in either the mini or large Polybottle in a dry, easily accessed location at ambient temperature. 1. Unscrew bottom brown end cap and point away from body 2. To ignite - pull toggle down sharply 3. Hold at arms length, downwind and outboard • End plug ejected - do not point at people • Produces dense orange smoke - do not inhale • Do not fire in a confined space • Keep out of reach of children • Keep away from source of heat • Do not use after expiry date • Pyrotechnics must be treated as hazardous items and must be disposed of responsibly in accordance with local regulations.
