Comar AIS-2 Receivers comar SYSTEMS Information received by the AIS-2-USB & AIS-2-NMEA receivers: Name of Vessel MMSI Number Position Speed (SOG) The AIS-2 Receivers are Dual Channel Parallel AIS Receivers with two AIS receivers monitoring both AIS channels at the same time and decoding both channels simultaneously. Unlike many AIS receivers that claim to be dual channel the AIS-2 receivers are true parallel receivers, ensuring that you receive the most up to date positions and information of all vessels around you. AIS-2-USB Receiver AIS-2-NMEA Receiver The receiver is designed for use with a PC and is powered by the USB port. It is simple to install, connect a VHF antenna to the rear socket, plug the unit into your USB socket, install the USB drivers supplied on the CD and the unit is ready to recieve AIS transmissions from vessels within VHF range. The receiver is designed for use with Chart Plotters and is powered by the boats DC supply of 12/24 volts. It is simple to install, connect a VHF antenna to the rear scocket, connect the unit to your boats battery supply, connect the NMEA output to the NMEA input of your Chart Plotter and the unit is ready to receive AIS transmissions from vessels within VHF range. Information received can be displayed on a PC by many third party AIS programs available giving the user a clear visual picture of other vessels in the vicinity.
