Product catalog summary
Overview: Cobham's NETNode IP mesh radios are advanced tactical communication solutions designed for mobile surveillance, command and control, and robotics. They form a self-forming, self-healing mesh network with up to twelve radios, operating on a single frequency to simplify management and occupying minimal bandwidth.
Specifications: The radios support various bandwidths (2.5MHz to 6.0MHz) and offer a data rate of over 5.0Mb/s, depending on configuration. They utilize COFDM modulation for robust RF performance and multipath resistance. The mesh topology allows for point-to-point or multi-point data exchange, with nodes acting as repeaters to extend range.
Interfaces and Connectivity: The radios feature multiple interfaces, including RF, Ethernet, and camera connections. They support composite or SDI video input, MPEG4 encoding, and multicast streaming. The system is compatible with third-party cameras and offers dedicated PTZ camera solutions.
Security and Control: Optional AES128 or AES256 encryption ensures network security. The Mission Commander PC application provides comprehensive control and monitoring, with video viewing capabilities on PCs or conventional monitors via IP Hardware Decoders.
Physical and Environmental: The devices are designed to meet IP54 standards, with dimensions of 130mm x 126mm x 60mm and a weight of 960g. They operate within a temperature range of -10 to 50°C and consume power at 12-14V DC.
Product Codes and Options: Various product codes are available for different frequency ranges and power outputs. Accessories include PTZ cameras, IP decoders, and control interfaces. Licensing options for encryption are also available.
Usage Restrictions: Products are intended for licensed security users only, with commercial versions available for unlicensed users upon request.

NETNode IP Mesh Radio Phase 3 (Plain) COFDM – Video, Audio Telemetry and IP Products September 2012 Data Sheet The most important thing we build is trust Cobham NETNode IP mesh radios are the latest innovations in the expanding range of Cobham Tactical Communications The NETNode can be connected to third party cameras and Surveillance solutions that feature Cobham technology using the NETAV option. Alternatively, there are dedicated PTZ camera solutions available for direct connection to the at their core. NETNode e.g. CAMPTZ* is a high performance, high quality NETNode IP radios can be combined in a fluid self-forming, day/night PTZ camera for long range and overt surveillance. self-healing mesh containing up to twelve radios. The The CAMPTZ* option requires the NETAV option to be NETNode radios within the mesh exchange data on a single fitted. frequency, simplifying frequency management. The entire mesh occupies just 2.5MHz of bandwidth (3.0, 3.5, 5.0 and 6.0MHz also available). The NETNode radios employ the unique Cobham COFDM modulation scheme and therefore offer excellent RF penetration and performance in the presence of multipath. The NETNode mesh radios can provide over 5.0 (6.0)Mb/s of IP data (data rate depends on mode, number of nodes and range between nodes). This available IP data rate can be used to exchange IP data traffic between nodes. The highly flexible mesh topology means that data can be exchanged between nodes in a point-to-point or multi-point fashion; range can be extended by using nodes as repeaters. The self-forming, self-healing mesh architecture makes the NETNode product ideal for use in mobile surveillance applications, command and control, or advanced robotics. Security of the entire mesh network can be ensured by the use of the optional AES128 or AES256 encryption. Control of the deployed mesh is achieved using the inbuilt web browser or comprehensive Mission Commander PC application. This software suite, based around a mapping display, is used to configure and monitor the mesh, and to control its nodes and cameras. Video can be viewed on the PC device using the Mission Commander software or, if IP Hardware Decoder devices are employed, video can be viewed on conventional monitors and recorded on conventional recorders. Mission Commander is now officially released with Milestone compatibility for data storage and retrieval.
