Newspaper metadata: Source: Ibi - Uk Author: Country: Great Britain Date: 2017/08/01 Media: Periodics Pages: 83 - 83 Electric stabilising systems from CMC Marine www.cmcmarine.com CMC MARINE, INVENTOR of the Stabitis Electra range of fin stabilisers, has launched three electric stabilising systems that extend the range of installation options available: the SR Short Range system was developed to transfer Stabilis Electra technology to boats under 20m in length, while the HS High Speed and LR Long Range (pictured) systems are for planing yachts with speeds over 24kt and for displacement or semi-displacement hulls, respectively. The three systems are said to deliver better performance with further weight reduction, low energy consumption and simpler installation. The HS and LR systems also offer the possibility of integrating and controlling different support surfaces (rudder or intruder) in combination with the stabilizing fins. The blade profiles come in new sizes up to 5m2.
