Product catalog summary
Introduction
C.C.JENSEN A/S, through its Window Division, presents the CJC™ Environmental Saving Glass Programme aimed at reducing CO2 emissions by replacing ordinary glass with CJC™ ES Glass. This initiative aligns with the goals of the Kyoto Protocol to decrease global CO2 emissions.

Energy Saving Potential
The Kyoto Protocol's implementation across the EU and globally has prompted the search for energy-saving solutions. Replacing single-layer glass with CJC™ ES Glass can save approximately 91 kilograms of CO2 per square meter annually. For instance, a yacht with 180 m2 of single-layer glass could reduce its CO2 emissions by 16.4 tons per year.

Technical Specifications
The effectiveness of glass in reducing heat loss is measured by its U-value, with lower values indicating better insulation. CJC™ ES Glass offers a U-value of approximately 1.4, significantly lower than single-layer glass (U-value of 5.7) and ordinary double glass (U-value of 2.8). This results in reduced heat loss and decreased reliance on air conditioning, further conserving energy.

Additional Benefits
Besides reducing CO2 emissions, CJC™ ES Glass minimizes heat influx from the sun, which can lower air conditioning usage and energy consumption. It also includes a UV-filter to protect interior furnishings.

Application and Services
C.C.JENSEN offers services for upgrading existing yachts with CJC™ ES Glass, including onboard measurements, supply, installation, and classification approval. For more information, contact the C.C.JENSEN A/S Window Division.
