Product catalog summary
Introduction
C.C. Jensen A/S Window Division introduces a new generation of ship windows designed to simplify installation and improve performance. This innovation follows extensive consultations with shipyards and outfitting companies.

Logistics and Installation
Traditional windows require welding during hull construction, necessitating protective measures for the glass. The new clamp-on windows eliminate this need, reducing installation time to a maximum of 30 minutes, compared to up to 4 hours for welded windows.

Weight and Noise Reduction
The clamp-on windows are lighter, featuring an 80 mm aluminum profile compared to the 100 mm steel profile of fixed weld windows. They also offer superior noise reduction by minimizing direct steel connections, thus absorbing structural and airborne noise.

Technical Specifications
The frames and clamps are made from high-quality extruded aluminum, with self-locking stainless steel screws and a special maritime adhesive for glass. Water tightness is ensured by a custom gasket, and the windows withstand four times the water pressure described in ISO 3903.

Fire Resistance and Compliance
The clamp-on windows meet A0 and A-60 fire resistance standards and comply with IMO SOLAS 1974 regulations. They are approved by major classification societies, with certificates available upon request.

Mounting Process
The windows are mounted using clamps, with two frame types available for different bulkhead thicknesses. An insulation box is provided for fire-rated windows, featuring a "click-on" installation.

Conclusion
C.C. Jensen's clamp-on windows offer significant time savings, flexibility in the building process, and enhanced performance. For further information, contact C.C. Jensen A/S.

Today windows are welded in during the building of the hull. Because of the welding the glass have to be protected by a wooden plate to avoid damage from sandblasting and painting. By using clamp-on windows the mounting process takes place at a later stage in the building process. Therefore the shipyard can use the opening in the bulkhead which gives more flexibility during the building...
