BASTØ VI has called “Super Ferry” delivered by Cemre Shipyard to Torghatten Group in Q4, 2016. The vessel is working on Moss-Horten route which is the busiest ferry route in the Oslofjord. BASTØ VI has 142,9 meter length and 20,7 meter width and 200 car / 34 truck capacity with 600 passenge

BASTØ VI has been designed by Multi Maritime Ship Design with design number of MM139 and is the first ferry delivery of Cemre Shipyard. BASTØ VI is to be designed and built for the longest ferry in Norway.

BASTØ VI fitted with energy efficient diesel engines and Bastø Fosen’s calculations show that NOx emissions are reduced by over 80 percent over existing ferries. Newly developed energy-efficient hull shape gives the new ferries a fuel consumption that is 25 to 30 percent lower than today

BASTØ VI is developed in collaboration with Multi-Maritime / Cemre Shipyard. She is designed with a particular focus on reducing the loading and unloading time of both pedestrians and vehicles. BASTØ VI has superior quality interior solution. The vessel has been designed for high comfort standards for 600 passengers and also for crews, BASTØ VI has not only accommodation for passengers but also accommodation for crews as well.

BASTØ VI has developed with continuous operation for Moss-Horten route which is the strongest commercial route in Norway for this reason delivery of the vessel should be earlier than 1st of January of 2017. The vessel built in 22 months after effectiveness of contract with Bastø Fosen, November 2016.

BASTØ VI is equipped with GE’s diesel engines that meet IMO Tier III emissions standards without Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment or urea injection. The engines are 2xGE 8 L250MDC / 2237kW@900rpm. The propulsion system is 2 off Rolls Royce AZP100.

BASTØ VI is designed for integrated bridge solution with Furuno Nav&Com package intention is to maximize the safety and comfortable operation by crews. The concept design of wheelhouse is designed with Cemre Interior team and Torghatten Group with 3D renders.
