Degaussing arrangements (for mine protection on fregates, corvets and mine hunting boats) are to reduce the ship´s own magnetic field. For this different large electric coils are installed in the ship´s hull. The deflection of the magnetic compass caused by these coils must be electronically compensated by coordinated coils near the compass. These so-called EC (Electro compensation) coils generate correcting magnetic fields to NE (45°), NW (315°) and vertical direction corresponding to ship´s ahead. According to the actual applied degaussing coil configuration the relevant EC coil configuration can be activated. MES-System? EK-Spulen? MES-Anlagen (Mineneigenschutz auf Fregatten, Korvetten oder Minen-Jagdbooten) reduzieren das magnetische Eigenfeld des Schiffes. Dazu werden im Rumpf elektrische Spulen angeordnet. Deren ablenkende Wirkung auf den Magnetkompass muss durch korrespondierende Korrekturspulen in Kompassnähe elektronisch kompensiert werden. Diese sog. EK(ElektroKompensations) -Spulen erzeugen Magnetfelder in NO (45°), NW (315°) und Hochrichtung bezogen auf die SchiffsVorausrichtung. Je nach verwendeter MES Spulen-Konfiguration kann eine entsprechnde EK Spulen -Konfiguration aktiviert werden. Product Overview There are three types of compasses for the different applications with electro-compensation arrangement available: •Reflector reading device T12/A/EC with T12 compass. T12 is a special shock & vibration resistant speed boat compass but as a spherical compass it is only MED certified as a B-class compass for coastal navigation. •Reflector Compass binnacle T12/B/EC with T12 speedboat compass. It is a full size compass binnacle to be mounted on the top deck of the vessel to grant less magnetic interferences.It is only coastal certified because of the T12 compass but can be used worldwide from technical point of view if Navies waive civil regulations. •Reflector compass binnacle REFLECTA/1/EC. REFLECTA/1 is a worldwide accepted A-class reflector compass binnacle by MED. The used Type/11 compass is not designed to fullfill special shock & vibrations reqquirements. T12 ist ein speziell schock- & vibrationsfester Schnellboot-Kompass, aber als Kugelkompass ist er nur als B-Klasse Kompass vom MED für Küstennavigation zugelassen. •Reflexions-Kompassanlage T12/B/EC mit T12 Schnellboot Kompass. Es ist ein vollwertiger Kompass Stand, der auf dem Peildeck montiert wird, um ausreichend magnetischen Schutzabstand zu gewährleisten. Gemäß Zulassung ist er wegen des verwendeten T12 Kompasses nur für Küstenfahrt einsetzbar, es sei denn die Marinen verzichten auf Erfüllung der zivilen Normen. •Reflexions-Kompassanlage REFLECTA/1/EC. REFLECTA/1 ist für weltweite Fahrt als A-Klasse Kompass MED zugelassen, allerdings erfüllt der eingesetzte Type/11 Kompass keine speziellen Schock & Vibrations Anforderungen. These intermediate directions are different to conventional magnet copensation, that are in ship´s logitudinal, cross and vertical direction. Per each direction are 4 groups of coils. Each group consists of 2 coils bracketing the compass. Three of these groups have coils with same number of windings, one is with double windings. The cables of each group will be lead out separatly and can be connected to the driving circuit individually according to the requirement of the different Degaussing coils. Diese Interkardinal-Anordnung unterscheidet sich von der konventionellen Magnet Kompensierung in längsschiffs, quer- und vertikal Richtung. In jeder Richtung gibt es vier Gruppen von Spulen. Jede Gruppe besteht aus zwei Spulen, die den Kompass gegenüberliegend einfassen. Drei dieser Spulengruppen haben gleiche Windungszahl, eine die doppelte.
