Product catalog summary
Proper Kite Care and Storage
  • Minimize wind exposure by placing sand between struts and near the trailing edge.
  • Avoid prolonged sunlight exposure; store in shaded areas when not in use.
  • Wash with fresh water and dry thoroughly before storing in a clean, dry, cool place.
  • Do not store the kite wet or with sand and foreign objects.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the kite bag and do not leave the kite inflated in extreme temperatures.
  • Wash the control system with fresh water periodically and store it dry.
Beach Etiquette and Safety
  • Follow all instructions and local regulations when kiteboarding.
  • Do not touch others' equipment without permission.
  • Secure kites with sand or sandbags; never leave an inflated kite unattended.
  • Set up gear in spacious areas and be considerate of other beach users.
  • Be ready to assist other kiteboarders.
Kite Overview and Setup
  • The kite features a 4-line body, bridle, steering and depower line attachment points, and a SPRINT inflation system.
  • The SPRINT system allows quick inflation through a single point, maintaining pressure even if a strut is damaged.
  • Proper inflation is crucial for performance; avoid under or over-inflation.
  • Secure the kite with sand and avoid using sharp objects.
Inflation and Deflation Procedures
  • Inflate the kite with the leading edge facing the wind, using the supplied pump leash.
  • Ensure all air clips are open for even inflation.
  • Deflate by unscrewing the release valve and unclipping air clips at each strut.
  • Clear valves of debris before storing the kite.
Control System Attachment
  • Connect control lines to the kite using larks head knots, ensuring secure attachment.
  • Refer to the control system manual for compatibility and setup details.
Kiteboarding Basics
  • Understand the area of operation and maintain a safe distance from others.
  • Avoid keeping the kite in the neutral position on land to prevent lofting.
  • Recognize the power zones and avoid flying the kite in the power zone when learning.
  • Generate power by steering the kite from low to high positions.
Steering Techniques
  • Practice steering with a trainer kite on land before moving to water.
  • Keep eyes on the kite and steer slowly to avoid abrupt motions.
Steering the Kite

To steer the kite left, hold the control bar with both hands and pull it slightly with your left hand. This will bend your left arm and extend your right arm. Pull slowly to control the kite's power. To steer right, do the opposite with your right hand. Always be ready to steer in the opposite direction if needed.

Planning Your Launch

Choose a launch area with at least 100 meters of space on all sides. Set up the kite at an angle off the wind, not straight downwind, to reduce power during launch. Your partner should hold the kite while you stand 30 meters away at the control bar. Launch slowly and at an angle.

Launching with a Partner

Ensure your Quick Release System is set up correctly. Check all equipment and lines before launching. Your partner should hold the kite at 100° off the wind and release it upon your signal. Avoid abrupt motions and steer the kite slowly to maintain control.

Landing a Kite to Your Partner

Instruct your partner on proper landing techniques. Approach the shore slowly, keeping the kite low. Your partner should grab the kite at the leading edge strut and avoid touching the bridles or flying lines.

Relaunching

Ensure the kite is properly inflated. If the kite lands on its face, steer it onto its side to relaunch. Pull the rear leader line to lift the wingtip and guide the kite to the edge of the wind window before steering it back into the sky.

Tuning the Kite

Proper tuning enhances performance. Adjust the steering and de-power lines for optimal tension. Avoid over-sheeting, which can slow the kite or cause it to fly backwards. Use the Centerline Adjustment Strap (CAS) to fine-tune the kite's power.

Repairing Tears and Strut Bladders

For minor tears, use kite repair tape on both sides of the tear. For strut bladder repairs, ensure the kite is clean and dry. Follow detailed steps to remove, repair, and reinsert the bladder, ensuring it is properly inflated and secured.

Leading Edge Bladder Repair Procedure
  • Access the bladder by unzipping the center access pocket and undoing Velcro closures.
  • Separate the Airlock Valve Assembly and disassemble the SPRINT valves.
  • Use flying lines to secure the bladder ends and gently remove the bladder from the sleeve.
  • Inflate the bladder, submerge in water to locate leaks, and mark any holes found.
  • Repair holes using glue or patches, depending on the location of the hole.
  • Reinsert the bladder into the sleeve using flying lines to guide it back into place.
  • Reassemble valves and ensure the bladder is properly positioned and inflated.
