Diver Recovery Block and Tackle The C-Tecnics Diver Recovery Block and Tackle is used in the recovery of a diver into the diving bell. It is a 6:1 advantage pulley system with an extended length of 6m – this is the es mated length from the top of the inside of the bell, through the bell trunking, to the base of the stage. Please check that this is the length required for your system - tailored lengths are available upon request. Li ing point: The block and tackle needs to be a ached to a secure li ing point which should be cer fied for at least 900Kg – a fully dressed diver can be es mated at 140Kg and this offers a 6x safety factor which is compa ble with the load tes ng requirements of certain diver recovery harnesses such at the C-Tecnics JOK II harness. Pulleys: The top pulley is fi ed with a cam cleat which enables the rope to be ‘locked off’ each me it is pulled for recovery, thus permi ng single-handed opera on. The angle of the cleat is adjustable via ratcheted locking pin system, and this should be adjusted prior to use to suit the angle of use by the operator in the bell to make sure that it is in the op mum posi on. The bo om pulley has a stainless steel snap hook to permit clipping on to the li ing/recovery point on the diver’s harness. Storage: The C-Tecnics Block & Tackle should be coiled neatly in to the quick-deploy bag, then stored in a dry place when not in use, ensuring that the rope and pulley blocks are clean of dirt as much as possible.
