continued from page 22 presented with opportunities that at times make way for some brilliant solutions. How these wonderful solutions come to fruition can only occur with openness, honesty, and a strong ability to communicate. But, most importantly, all egos are checked at the door. I have been blessed to lead a formidable team who are totally convinced that they can do the impossible. A constant within this team is a delightful sense of overreaching, and in the course of overreaching, achieving truly amazing results. There is a feeling of unbound imagination so refreshing that it makes it painfully obvious when I encounter individuals that are seemingly vexed by their imagined limitations. Personally speaking, I can think of no more rewarding experience than working together as a team to create a work-of-art where everyone involved has made some contribution. Frequently, when I walk through one of our finished yachts, I recall certain obstacles and issues that required lots of creative energy and deft execution. Three years since implementing our change of business course, I can proclaim with tremendous pride and satisfaction that the transformation of our shipyard to design and build these remarkable vessels is successful beyond our imagination. As one individual cannot create these masterpieces, I stand with great contentment knowing the strong work ethic, amazing skills and incredible team spirit that exists at our Company.

Open the catalog to page 2MIRGAB V S omething to Prove Sometimes life throws you an opportunity… a chance to redefine a business plan or to change a course of action. In this case the business plan and the course were redefined to take advantage of the insatiable demand for larger yachts. Recognizing the demand was one aspect, completely changing the infrastructure at the shipyard to accommodate the larger vessels was another. Though the commitment to the larger market was obvious, the fact remained, Burger had never built a yacht larger than 127' (39m) or an MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) compliant vessel...

Open the catalog to page 48 TENACITY TENACITY W hen the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, made the quantum leap from a 26-footer (8m) to a 116-footer (35m), we knew this was not your typical buyer. In fact, their first choice was to buy an existing yacht in the 85'95' (26-29m) range, but as luck would have it, ended up with a custom 116' (35m) Burger Raised Pilothouse. This decision was the outcome of attending plenty of boat shows, touring countless yachts and visiting several shipyards. It wasn't until the 2003 Miami Show that John Todd from Burger Yacht Sales introduced them to the 106' Burger, Moderation. That's...

To that I replied, "Burgers sell themselves, and not just to old guys but to young ones as well." The dream of owning a Burger yacht is still very much alive even in the throes of a less than vibrant economy and a world full of international strife; even in the face of a wide array of competition from all over the world. Owners doing the first weld at the keel laying ceremony T hough falling slightly...
