Product catalog summary
Specifications:
The Mirgab V is a tri-deck motor yacht with a length of 144 feet (43.9m), a beam of 28 feet (8.5m), and a draft of 7 feet 7 inches (2.3m). It has a maximum displacement of 350 long tons and is powered by MTU 12V 4000 engines, providing 2,735 bhp at 2100 rpm. The yacht features a fuel capacity of 14,000 U.S. gallons (53,000 liters) and a fresh water capacity of 3,000 U.S. gallons (11,353 liters). The design and construction were managed by the Burger Design Team, with interior design input from the owner.

Development and Market Entry:
The yacht represents Burger's entry into the megayacht market, prompted by a Middle Eastern family's interest. This project marked Burger's first venture into building yachts larger than 127 feet (39m) and compliant with MCA standards. The successful completion of Mirgab V led to further projects averaging over 140 feet (43m) in length.

Design and Features:
Mirgab V offers over 8,100 sq. ft. (752.5 sq. m) of luxurious living space, featuring classic contemporary interior design with African Cherry paneling and Amboyna burl wood accents. A standout feature is the 40-inch (1m) diameter pneumatic glass-tube elevator, surrounded by a sculpted bronze and glass stairway with illuminated glass treads. The yacht also includes a fold-down verandah and an integral swim platform.

Accommodations:
The yacht accommodates guests in five staterooms below deck, including a full-beam master stateroom on the main deck and a VIP stateroom on the upper deck. Crew accommodations include a captain's suite and additional staterooms for crew members.

Performance and Technology:
Powered by high-performance engines, the yacht reaches speeds of nearly 20 knots. It features advanced "glass bridge" technology in the pilothouse and a "zero speed" stabilization system for stability at anchor.

Recognition:
Mirgab V debuted at the 2006 Monaco Yacht Show and received the World Yachts Trophies Award for best custom yacht in the 130'-150' (40-46m) range at the Cannes Boat Show, affirming Burger's reputation in the larger yacht market.

Something To Prove Sometimes life throws you an opportunity… a chance to redefine a business plan or to change a course of action. In this case the business plan and the course were redefined to take advantage of the insatiable demand for larger yachts. Recognizing the demand was one aspect, completely changing the infrastructure at the shipyard to accommodate the larger vessels was another. Though the commitment to the larger market was obvious, the fact remained, Burger had never built a yacht larger than 127' (39m) or an MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) compliant vessel before. Who would...

benchmark, the interior was designed as cabin within cabin - entirely floating and separated from integral structure of the yacht. This was a major accomplishment especially due to the massive, high-performance engines and associated heavy equipment required including an oversized air conditioning system to counteract the intense temperatures that the vessel will inevitably encounter. The accommodations include a total of five guest staterooms below deck: three with queen size berths and two with twin berths; one of the twin rooms can be converted to form a king berth. The full-beam master stateroom...
