In addition to manually controlling the whistle, all common signals detailed in the "Conventions on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea" are available with pre-programmed pattern. The signals and the interval time for signal repetition are selected by individual push buttons. The selections are indicated by means of LEDs. The whistle is subsequently activated by pressing the start/stop button. Signals for change of direction and collision warning are activated directly by operation of corresponding further push buttons. The operation panel is designed for installation in consoles on bridge or further control stands. The device's front is covered by a waterproof, UV-resistant, scratch-proof plastic foil, making it suitable for outdoor use. All operating elements are backlit for ease of use at night. LED brightness is automatically adapted to ambient lighting conditions by means of a photo resistor. Up to four whistle operation panel AHD-WOP can be connected in serial (RS485) to control a whistle.
